Book keeper/Accountant:

Needed an experienced and qualified individual to oversee the finances of PAOS in Uganda. An efficient, effective system is already in place. Familiarity with programs such as “Quick Books” or “Simply Accounting” would be helpful. Based at the Timothy Centre in Masaka, Uganda the accountant will oversee the budget, cash flow and payroll for both the Timothy Centre and Kibaale Community Centre.

Preferred starting date no later than January 2011,  (a temporary person in place who can stay no longer than the end of December 2010), with a minimum of a two year commitment is preferred. Some support raising will be necessary

Field Director Uganda:

PAOS wishes to appoint a qualified and experienced Field Director to oversee and coordinate all their work in Uganda. The Field Director will work with and facilitate the work of the PAOS and national staff in Uganda. The Field Director will work closely with the Executive Director and the Director of Outreach and Service Projects. Although some fund raising would be desirous the position does carry a salary and benefits package to be negotiated. A willingness to spend up to two months a year in Canada working with the PAOS office and liaising with supporters would be preferable.

The successful candidate will have a heart for the work PAOS is involved in; have experience and or understanding of the educational mission of the work and experience leading and administering staff.

We are looking for a person who has a call to long term involvement is outreach and service in Africa a very minimum of a two year commitment would be required. As this is a new position starting date is negotiable.
