About the Pacific Academy Outreach Society

By 1992, seven years after Pacific Academy was established, the number of outreach activities the students and staff were involved in had increased to the point where the decision was taken to establish a separate society to handle the outreach ministries of Pacific Academy. In January 1993 the "Pacific Academy Outreach Society" (PAOS) was officially registered. PAOS is operated by a board appointed by the Pacific Academy board.

Over the years the number and range of ministries has steadily expanded as the board and leadership have committed themselves to fulfilling the vision "To be Global Servants in Christian Education".

Although PAOS focuses primarily on its service projects in Uganda, at the Kibaale Centre and the Timothy Centre, it also strives to works closely with the school in its local community service activities and in the sending of high school outreach/service teams to needy and developing areas of the world.

In order to better achieve these goals Ms. Lizabee Wickett has been appointed Director of Outreach and Service Projects at Pacific Academy. In this role she will coordinate and support the school’s outreach activities and oversee the work of PAOS.
