Message from Ray Sutton

By 1992, seven years after Pacific Academy was established, the number of outreach activities the students and staff were involved in had increased to the point where the decision was taken to establish a separate society to handle the outreach ministries of Pacific Academy. In January 1993 the "Pacific Academy Outreach Society" (PAOS) was officially registered. PAOS is operated by a board appointed by the Pacific Academy board.

Over the years the number and range of ministries has steadily expanded as the board and leadership have committed themselves to fulfilling the vision "To be Global Servants in Christian Education".

Although PAOS focuses primarily on its service projects in Uganda, at the Kibaale Centre and the Timothy Centre, it also strives to works closely with the school in its local community service activities and in the sending of high school outreach/service teams to needy and developing areas of the world.

In order to better achieve these goals Mr. Ken Drisner has been appointed Director of Outreach and Service Projects at Pacific Academy. In this role he will coordinate and support the school’s outreach activities and serve as Assistant Director of PAOS

in the fall of 2010 you will be hearing much about the Timothy Centre as many of the buildings are nearing completion and as we prepare for the opening of the Timothy Girl’s College in February 2011. Reading through the Timothy Project section of the web you will be will be amazed and excited by the next stage of the development of the work in Uganda.
