By 1992, seven years after Pacific Academy was established, the number of outreach activities the students and staff were involved in had increased to the point where the decision was taken to establish a separate society to handle the outreach ministries of Pacific Academy. In January 1993 the "Pacific Academy Outreach society" (PAOS) was officially registered. PAOS is operated by a board appointed by the Pacific Academy board.
Over the years the number and range of ministries has steadily expanded as the board and leadership have committed themselves to fulfilling the vision "To be Global Servants in Christian Education".
PAOS encompasses two general categories of initiatives: service projects, which includes the Kibaale Community Project in Uganda; and international programs which includes ESL programs at Pacific Academy.
We are pleased to announce that the land for the long-awated Timothy Centre in Uganda has now been purchased. Land and building preparation will begin in Decemeber 2008.
